There are 4 kind of sources for the force/energy.
0-neuroenergetic ~ no transcendence : the potential of the brain itself, used by various people like Kim Peek, Tony Robbins.
1- psychic (center of the Head) ~ no transcendence : mainly used by people like Illuminati, white and black brotherhood [don't you remember Yoda Vs Darth Sidious? And Dart Vader was previously a Jedi Knight...], magicians, and at a lower level trained scientists like Nikola Tesla.
2- the Hara (the tan tien center itself) ~ semi transcendence : great martial and Taoist masters - Ueshiba, Confucius, Lao Tzu, etc..
3- the sun inside (the awakened energetical heart) ~ full transcendence : the true Force, the way of "Avatara" and "prophets" - Jesus, yogi Babaji Maharaj, Simon Kimbangu, Simao Toko, Sathya Sai Baba, Swami Premananda, etc..

All these 4 potentials can be developed with specific practices
for the 0 : NLP, selfhypnosis, rebirthing, mental focusing, etc.
for the 1st : Raja Yoga, shamanism, parapsychology, etc.. all structured methods dealing with the focusing of the energy into the psychic center of the head
for the 2nd : Qi gong, tibetan Tumo, Taoist practices, etc.
for the 3rd : solar meditation ~ the prayer with the energetical core of our heart, the secret of divine Enlightenment. Bhakti, in one sense, is the genuine but pale reminiscence of the unmemorable sadhana.
This may sound far away from what is now commonly admitted as enlightenment. And enlightenment is for individual only and never taken as a group, otherwise it leads to a connection with specific Egregors with hidden induced vampirism, whether good or bad ; so be careful ~ see holy spirit, Reborn christians, etc.
Why this information is not so easily available in the market ? Perhaps because most "Gurus" have no idea about it !!... and are not so sincere to recognize their lack of achievement before taking students ; and most of the time we, students, are only in need of easy consumption even in spirituality.
Remember Jesus and what Neo says in the Matrix : "It can be done" ;-) ~ and they don't ask us anything but to believe in ourselves.

I have nothing much to say concerning these martial art demonstrations. They are very probably sincere and may very well contain no “acting”. However, strategies of an “on-comming” attack are always an on-comming stream of 'energy' or “Force”. Intentions of simply “not being in the way” of that particular energy or intent, are far more realistic (from my own martial arts point of view…) than the show of the masters and their students in video above.

For having practised Aiki for a very long while now.
Much of what I saw in the video has to do with the relation between teacher and student.
Take an average person, move you finger at them and without any physical contact; nothing will take place. NOTHING.
Beyond (or before… ) the physical contact there's intention.
Now… that intention is energy or force.
Experience makes intentions which are emanating from others easily recognizable (especially if they are your own students… !!!)
I was invited as a guest instructor for a Hawaiian Kempo class.
Spirit is somehow the same no matter who's in front of you.
No one in that particular class knew any ”Aiki” moves (as such… and I don't wish to get too techinical…). These Hawaiian Kempo “players” were all great technicians (Hawaiian Kempo is very powerful stuff! Alot of respect from me!) in so far as physical combat, but (even the black belts in the class) intentions of attack were very obvious.
That experience helped me realise what me own view of Energy is.
Avoid conflict. Stay calm and clear. That, is for me is a very great “Force”.
Psychic-Energy and such… 50/50… see me blog…
No matter what takes place, remain conscious!
Consciousness is the greatest force.

I tried to put in a very concise shape my answer to the question without neglecting the important facts regarding the different ways of developing the cousciousness. If you take a look at my curriculum, you certainly guess that I linked the different enlightenments with energetical degrees of consciousness development : most of the time, instructors unfortunately speak of qualitative enlightenment only. They stay very vague, just telling us : “be in peace, stay calm in your own Self, love all.., be in pure silence, don't do anyting - all is the grace of God” meanwhile having nevertheless no clue of what is really happening in the body.
I proceed differently with an energetical slope : there are different energetical cores in the man that can be developped, some are transient and non transcendental and two (the hara and the energetical heart) can be definitly activated to gain transcendental results and of course Moksha.
I will introduce more in my blog the way of the solar Meditation (the awakening of the inside sun), which is hitherto completly unknown. The goal is to propose to all interested zaadzers a different view of what can be the paradigm of the vertical freedom and why not, by the way, bring some real hope and confidence regarding their own sadhana.
And as you have seen in my post Matrix with the figure of Neo, it's because I consider them to be very good examples and illustration of what the vertical freedom is …Remember Jesus and Babaji ;-)

The question of force/energy is what is the most debated in martial arts. There can be sometimes some fakes in Ki projections to please the Master, and if you don't participate yourself to the experiment as an opponant [even with a zen attitude !], you cannot be absolutely sure of the genuiness of the phenomen, I agree. The central question is what is the Force ? where does its source origin ? Is it only psychological, transe inducting ? or does it have some extension on inert matter like hard stone or other elements ? That's why I first wanted to propose some vids as a foundation of thinking and sharing.
For the Hara, as we speak of martial Art, what I can say is that a lot of lineages in martial art or with taoist masters cultivate their Tan-Tien. In eastern traditions, they associate this center with immortality ; a lot of treatises were written for the How to …and people have been spending serious time with day to day cultivation for 20 to 30 years. Perhaps they did'nt succeed to achieve immortality with the tan-tien, but they are in the way of the martial semi-transcendence. By the way, if you watch the Kulagina video you can see that it's possible with psychic development to attest the reality of the force on inert matter.
